Characteristics and Types of Pulleys Blocks

Pulley block is a tool widely used in lifting and transporting operations. It is used with the wire rope and equipped with a winch for lifting and transporting heavy objects. A single pulley can only change the direction or the force， composited pulley blocks with wire ropes can not only change the direction of the force, but also can lift the heavy objects. 

Classification of Pulley Blocks

First, according to the number of sheaves, they're divided into single sheave, double sheave, triple sheave, multiple sheave.

Balance pulleys: make sure that each pulley is evenly stressed to keep the hanging objects stable.

The pulley block is made up of a fixed pulley and a moving pulley with a steel wire rope. During the operation, the position of the fixed pulley block does not change, but the pulley rotates, and the movable pulley moves with the heavy object, which saves labor. The more the pulleys in the pulley block, the more labor-saving and the slower the weight moves.
