Why can't hoist a load with multiple chain hoists?
More than one chain hoists hoist together called a group hoist. In normal circumstances, group cranes are not allowed, because when one of the chain hoists fails, it will directly affect other lifting equipment and cause an accident.
For example, a heavy load of 10T, as usual, two 5T chain hoists are required to lift at the same time, but if one of them is displayed, most of the weight will be transferred to another 5T chain hoist, which will also happen when the chain is broken, slipped, etc. At that time, the 5T chain hoist has to load 8T-10T, which is far exceeding the safety load of the chain hoist, there will definitely be an accident.
Therefore, group cranes are generally not allowed. If group cranes are required, two 10T chain hoists should be selected. Even if one chain hoist has a problem, the other chain hoist will fully bear the weight of the weight itself.
