Inspection of chain shackles

1.The body of the chain shackle should be marked with the safety factor, safety working load and so on.

2. The surface of the shackle should be smooth and flat, and there should be no defects such as cracks, sharp edges and over heat treated. It can be assisted by tools such as a magnifying glass.

3. The safety load of the chain shackle is based on the M(4) standard.    

4. The chain shackle below 300T is tested with 2 times the safety load as the proof test load, and the chain shackle above 300T is tested with the safety load of 1.33 times as the test load. The chain shackle shall not be deformed or the shackle may lose its load capacity.
