Instructions of Wire rope clip

The wire rope clip is mainly used for the temporary connection and the fixing of the wire rope.

According to the production standard, it is divided into GB wire rope clip, German standard DIN741 clip, U.S.type forged clip (G450 clip), malleable type clip, for different types of clips, the materials, production process, and surface treatment are different. The production process of the clip body is die-forged, the surface treatment is usually electrical galvanized, the U-shaped bolt is electro-galvanized, and the specification of the clip is based on the size of the wire rope, for example, the 1/2" clip can only be used to the 1/2" wire rope.

Application of wire rope clip： Used in ports, cranes, metallurgical mining equipment, oilfield, railway loading, and unloading, forestry machinery, power equipment, etc.

Pay attention to the following points when selecting the clips:

The size of the clip should be suitable for the diameter of the wire rope. The inner size of the U-ring should be 1 to 3 mm larger than the diameter of the wire rope, or it will be too large to clamp the rope.

When using the clips, tighten the U-bolt until the wire is crushed by about 1/3. Since the wire rope is deformed after being stressed, the rope needs to be clamped once more to ensure the joint is secure. To check whether the rope is slipped after the wire is stressed, an additional clip can be used, this clip is installed about 500mm away from the first clip. The end of the rope is released after a safe bend and then clamped with the main rope. If the clip is slippery, the safety bend will be straightened, which is easy to find and strengthen it in time.

The distance between the rope clips is generally about 6 to 8 times the diameter of the wire rope, they should be in a straight line. The U-shaped bolt should be stuck on the side of the rope end, and the bottom should be placed on the side of the main rope.

Precautions for the use of wire rope clips: can not be used for a long time, can not be reused.
